Twilight was a bad time for vampires...not awake but not asleep, Tam tossed in his bed, moaning as he realized that Amber wasn't there. Then again, he knew she would be at work so he wasn't particularly surprised. He was hungry, though, and he wanted to get some food. He idly wondered, eyes still shut, who he was going to feed off of.
Risha looked down at her lap, blinking past the relieved tears that had suddenly rushed over her, swallowing faintly and grinning as she heard Gabriel babble his joy.
"What about...Pedaline?" She breathed, nervous that in the end, he would remain with the girl who seemed to be such a good match for him. "You can see me tonight, if your'e free...whenever you get off work."

Amber frowned at Ryan as he walked toward her. she had kept a lot of her past from him; he had no idea what her life had been like before Tam had left her for good. She let the darkness she'd been keeping hidden seep into her eyes and he actually looked a little surprised, then he laughed a most mocking laugh.
A sharp knife dangled from his hand and for the first time, Amber realized that Ryan wasn't as innocent as she had thought either. They'd both been keeping secrets. "i'm going to gut you like a fish." He said, his voice cold and sincere.
Gabriel had forgotten for a moment who Pedaline even was, and then nodded. "I'll take care of that..." he said, barely giving it two thoughts. He realized just how much he didn't care about the poor girl. "I can meet you whenever you're free tonight, wherever you want to go." He felt like a school-boy, excited to see the girl he had a crush on. but this was more than a crush, and it always had been.

Tam woke, slowly, noticing Amber wasn't there. He called the hospital to ask her what time she'd like to meet for dinner, but was informed that she had never made it there. His body went cold, nerves beginning to tingle from his head to his toes. There was an overwhelming fear that he was losing everything he had worked for. Everything that he loved, Amber, was going to disappear.
Risha smiled softly, "How about seven, at that French restaurant?" She paused briefly, hoping that Pedaline wasn't going to cause any problems, "That would be great. I can't wait to see you, Gabe."

Amber's stomach flopped at his cold words, but forced herself to laugh. as long as he was talking to her, he probably wasn't cutting her up. Long enough for her, hopefully, to get out of her binds and kick his balls up into his throat. "I never thought you were such a sore loser..." She muttered, keeping her eyes on him as she twisted her wrists a little, but all it did was tighten the bindings. She shifted unhappily as he walked toward her and crouched in front of her, his eyes dead as he looked at her, so incredibly hollow.
"I just don't like it when someone touches my property." He said icily. "Where is the ring I gave you?" He asked, looking down at her hands. He took her left hand, but the rope made both of her hands go. He looked at her bare ring finger, tapping the knife to it. "If my ring wont sit on your finger, no one's will." He put the blade against the finger, making her suck in a breath, every muscle tensing. She tried to pull back but he caught her hand in a vice grip, staring into her eyes. "Scared now, Amber?" He hissed, pushing the blade hard enough into the skin of her finger to draw blood, but not enough to make her lose the finger...yet.
Gabriel nodded, smiling like an idiot. "I can't wait to see you." He said goodbye and then hung up, grabbing his jacket off the back of his chair and hurrying out of the office. he had to see Pedaline before he got to see Risha.
He arrived at home in record time and Pedaline rushed to greet him, running to hug him but she was met with a stone-like embrace; a tell-tale sign that something was wrong. "Gabriel... what's the matter?" She asked, pulling back, frowning up at him, worry lines creasing across her brow.
"There's nothing wrong... well..." Gabriel frowned a little and looked into her eyes. He felt almost nothing, which surprised him, but it didn't change the fact that he was letting go of her now, for someone he loved much more. "I'm leaving you. I have tried to look past our differences and make things work between us, but I can't anymore. I don't think I can spend my life with you, and that's what we're facing right now."
Pedaline looked surprised, and then smiled, which surprised him even more. "I slept with all of your coworkers." She stated flatly, then turned on her heel and stalked upstairs. She knew him well enough to know that a bomb dropped on him like that would hurt his ego quite a bit. No one cheated on Gabriel Dante.
